Shaker Shark Night and Practice Information

Shaker Shark Night and Practice Information:

Friday, January 30:  Select youth practice will be from 3:15 - 4:30 p.m. at the Woodbury Pool.  There will be no youth shark practices at the Middle School due to the Shaker Shark Night at the Woodbury Pool.   Shark swimmers are encouraged to come and see an exciting High School swim meet - Shaker versus Orange at the Woodbury Pool starting at 6:00 p.m.  All SHSH swimmers who wear their Shaker Sharks t-shirts will get into the high school meet for free.  In addition, free pizza and refreshments will be served after the meet.  The SHAKER SHARKS NIGHT will end by 8:30 p.m.

Thursday, February 5:  Select youth practice will be from 3:45 - 5:15 p.m. at the Middle School.

Friday, February 6:  Select youth practice will be from 3:45 - 5:15 p.m. at the Middle School.

Friday, February 13:  Select youth practice will be from 3:45 - 5:15 p.m. at the Middle School.

Please remember, when the Shaker Schools are closed due to weather there will be no Shaker Shark practices.

Practices are cancelled today

Due to the inclement weather, all Shaker Swimming practices are cancelled TODAY, Wednesday, January 28, 2009.  This includes the following:  Shaker High School practice at Woodbury, select youth practice at Woodbury, Middle School group (3:45- 5:15 p.m.) practice at the MS, youth sharks, developing sharks and pre-select youth practices at the MS.

Attention Shaker HS Swimmers

Attention Shaker HS swimmers and parents:

• Friday, January 16:  Practice and the home meet against Mentor have been cancelled.
• Saturday, January 17:  The NE Classic Invitational is on!  Swimmers who are swimming in the meet - the bus leaves at 6:30 a.m. from Woodbury.  Swimmers who are not swimming in the meet - practice at Woodbury from 8:30 - 10:30 a.m.

Jim Scullion Meet Information

Swimmers who are swimming in the Jim Scullion Meet on January 17 - 18 at Lakewood High School, please go to www.lakeerieswimming.com for updated meet information.  Warm-up times and the latest weather related information are posted.

Practice Cancellation

Shaker City Schools are closed Friday, January 16 due to the cold weather; therefore the following practices are cancelled for Friday, January 16:

• Masters practice at the MS
• Woodbury morning practice
• Shaker Middle School after school practice
• Select youth practice
• All sharks, developing sharks, and pre-select youth practices

Shaker Shark Tryouts

If you wish to tryout for the Shaker Sharks, we will have tryouts on the following days:

• Monday, January 12 at 7:20 p.m.
• Wednesday, January 14 at 7:20 p.m.
• Saturday, January 17 at 11:40 p.m.
• Monday, March 2 at 7:20 p.m.
• Wednesday, March 4 at 7:20 p.m.

All tryouts are at the Shaker Middle School.  Please have your swimmer ready to swim.  You can pick up an informational packet at the tryouts.
