Summer is coming! Summer is coming!
Shaker Swimming is getting ready for its summer season! Summer swimming starts June 16th. Linked below are information and practice and meet schedules for each age group. Files are in .pdf format.

Memorial Day Weekend Information

The Memorial Day Parade is Monday, May 26. The Shaker Sharks will march in the Memorial Day Parade and pass out candy. All swimmers are encouraged to participate and wear their Shaker Shark T-shirts. Swimmers should decorate their bikes or scooters and ride them in the parade. Swimmers can also roller blade. We will meet at 8:45 a.m. on Clayton Blvd. on the Northwest end by Chadbourne Rd.
There will be no youth shark practice at the Middle School on Saturday, May 24 due to Memorial Day Weekend. There will be select youth and Sr. Shark practice at Woodbury from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m.
There will be no shark practices on Monday, May 26 due to Memorial Day.
Sr. Circuit/Age Group Meet (May 23 - 25)
Location: Youngstown State University, Beeghley Center, Spring Street, Youngstown, OH 44555
Friday: Warm-ups will begin at 4:00 p.m.; Meet starts at 5:00 p.m.
Saturday Morning (Sr. Circuit)
Warm-ups will begin at 7:00 a.m.
Meet will start at 8:00 a.m.
Saturday Afternoon (Age Group)
Warm-ups will NOT begin before 12:30 p.m.; Meet will NOT begin before 1:15 p.m.
Saturday Finals
Warm-ups will NOT begin before 4:30 p.m.; Finals will NOT begin before 5:30 p.m.
Sunday (Sr. Circuit)
Warm-ups will begin at 7:00 a.m.
Meet will start at 8:00 a.m.
Sunday Afternoon (Age Group)
Warm-ups will NOT begin before 12:0 noon; Meet will NOT begin before 12:45 p.m.
Sunday Finals
Warm-ups will NOT begin before 3:15 p.m.; Finals will NOT begin before 4:15 p.m.
Directions: Take I-271 South to I-480 East to the Ohio Turnpike (I-80) East. Exit turnpike – follow I-80 East (almost to Pennsylvania). Take the exit for OH-193/BELMONT AVE. Make a right on Belmont and proceed south about 1.5 miles to the light at Gypsy Lane. Make a left on Gypsy; at the fourth traffic light, make a right onto Fifth Avenue. Go about 1.6 miles on Fifth until you cross the overpass for Rt. 422. Spring St is the first stop light past the stadium. Beeghley Center is to the left on Spring St. (no outlet). Parking is to the Right. Approximate drive time: one hour fifteen minutes.
Parking is available in the M24 lot located on the West side of 5th Ave. YSU charges $4.00 for parking.
Please be at the pool 10 minutes before the start of warm-ups to sign in for your events. Please check in with a Shaker coach when you arrive.

Mark your calendar: The Memorial Day Parade is Monday, May 26. The Shaker Sharks will march in the Memorial Day Parade and pass out candy. There will be no Middle School Youth Shark practices on Saturday, May 24. There will be Masters, Sr. Shark, and Select Youth practices at Woodbury.
There will be no Shark practices on Monday, May 26 due to the holiday.
Practice Changes

Select youth practice will be from 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. at the Woodbury Pool on Friday, May 9 and Friday, May 16 due to a Woodbury School function.
Summer Schedule Update

The Youth Summer Schedule has been updated. There will be a dual meet against Purvis Park at Purvis Park on July 16th. See the Youth Meet page for more details!

May Madness/LESD Personal Best Meet at Hawken Upper School (May 4)
Location: Holtrey Natatorium, Hawken Upper School
12465 County Line Rd.

Sunday morning (10 & under swimmers):
7:30 – 8:30 a.m. Warm-ups
8:35 a.m. Meet start
Sunday afternoon (11 & over swimmers)
Warm-ups will not begin before 10:30 a.m.
Directions: Take Mayfield Road East past Route 91 (S.O.M. Center Rd.) to County Line Rd. Go left on County Line. Hawken’s driveway is the first driveway on the right. Holtrey Natatorium is the first building on the right. Parking is across the street.
